Blackfield Associates are supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in their search for a Project Technician to join their Production Engineering team.This role is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled and motivated individual to contribute to key engineering projects that ensure compliance, reliability, and innovation within a modern GMP manufacturing and packaging environment. The position is initially available on a 2 year FTC basis, but with strong potential to become permanent. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering technical expertise in support of project and operational activities, ensuring compliance with GMP and Good Engineering Practice (GEP).Lead small-scale engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage internal and external engineering resources and coordinate day-to-day project activities.Oversee contractor management, including inductions, risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes.Drive improvements in equipment reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.Skills & Experience RequiredTime-served apprenticeship with City & Guilds and/or NVQ Level 3–4 in engineering, building services, or a related discipline.Proven experience managing building services or engineering projects, ideally within a GMP or pharmaceutical environment (other regulated industries considered).Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and EHS practices desirable.Formal project management training or qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APM) advantageous.Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
