Building a sustainable tomorrowBAM Infrastructure is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Sub Agent to join our team delivering major civil engineering projects across Scotland.Our work is primarily within the energy infrastructure sector, with a focus on constructing new substations that play a key role in supporting Scotland’s transition to net zero. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, nationality or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics.Your missionAs a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for the following:Set a personal example in health, safety and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments and briefingsManage, supervise and mentor section, site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and the generation of appropriate recordsMaintain good working relationship with RE staff and supply chainAdopt and promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resourcesSupport the agent as required in operating the cost management system, the production of programmes and QF preparationCommunicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate formAdopt and promote the use of BIM technologies to deliver the requirements of the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availabilityAssist the agent as required to procure necessary materials, sub-contracts and plant in sufficient timeReview with the agent regularly the performance, development and training needs of subordinate staff, including underperformance or potential resignationsAdvise agent of any potential commercial or contractual liabilitiesWho are we looking for?Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalentCSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/ManagerSSSTSSuccessful experience and performance at Section Engineer levelThe Following Are Desirable RequirementsQualified to ICE Incorporated level or equivalentWhat’s in it for you?Competitive salaryA wide range of family-friendly policiesCompany car/car allowance/travel allowance8 % matched pension contributionsPrivate healthcareLife assurance26 days holiday2 wellbeing days1 volunteering dayPersonal and professional developmentBAM Infrastructure is also committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, and to developing policies that support work-life balance.Who are we?The art of building is about building for communities; it’s about building for life.Where others stop, we go further, leading the way towards a sustainable tomorrow for us and future generations.
