Role Overview :


The Director of Broadcast Engineering will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the seamless operation of my client's broadcasting systems. You will be responsible for strategic planning, leading technological initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality broadcasts across multiple platforms. This role requires a visionary leader with both strong technical expertise and management experience.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the Broadcast Engineering team to ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute strategic engineering plans that align with the company’s long-term broadcast goals.
  • Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and implementation of broadcast equipment, systems, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the production, IT, and operations teams to enhance broadcast quality and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and make recommendations to integrate cutting-edge broadcast solutions.
  • Manage budgetary and resource planning for engineering projects.
  • Provide technical leadership in the troubleshooting of complex technical issues during live broadcasts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the engineering department.


Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of experience in broadcast engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of broadcast systems, RF technologies, video/audio transmission, and IP-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in broadcast environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for innovation and staying ahead in a fast-changing technology landscape.
