QA Test Engineer Up to £55,000
Manchester (Hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced QA/Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team in Manchester, UK. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our award-winning digital platform, which supports thousands of businesses.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive test strategies, focusing on automation. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the platform’s functionality, performance, and scalability by creating and maintaining automated test scripts, while also engaging in manual testing when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure requirements are fully met.
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Implement and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve them.
Conduct manual testing, including exploratory, usability, and ad-hoc testing when necessary.
Continuously improve testing processes to increase efficiency and expand test coverage.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release management to ensure high-quality software releases.
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in software testing and automation.

Required Experience
~3+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
~ Strong C# coding skills.
~ Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for end-to-end testing (preferably using C# APIs).
~ Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and BDD frameworks like SpecFlow.
~ Ability to conduct cross-device testing (laptops and mobile platforms).
~ Experience in creating test plans, providing estimates, and preparing reports.
~ Experience writing performance tests to optimize platform performance.
~ Knowledge of component and integration tests to catch issues early in the development cycle.
~ Proficiency with Git for version control.
~ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
~ Experience with manual testing (UAT, System, Regression).
~ Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
~ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Blue-Green deployments.
~ Exposure to fast-paced IT environments.
~ Experience testing microservices, including unit, integration, load, stress, and security testing.
~ Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
~ Ability to thrive under pressure and collaborate effectively to support business needs.
