Senior Events Marketing Executive – International B2B Events / Conferences – London


NB - you must have 2+ years of B2B Events Marketing experience to be considered for this role


up to 38k Basic plus 10%-20% Bonus + Great Benefits (including 5 weeks’ holiday, health, life insurance, great pension scheme, share options, season ticket loan, etc)


This role is hybrid, with c1 day per week in the Central London office (or more if you prefer)



This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, international B2B publishing and conferences brand as a Senior Events Marketing Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Events, within the Global Technology sector.


There will also be opportunities to travel to these events in the US, Middle East, Europe and Asia (c3 times per year on average).



Requirements:


  • 2+ years of B2B Events marketing experience, ideally in tech or professional services industry, but other industries considered
  • Track record of successfully designing and delivering multi-channel event marketing campaigns
  • Experience using some of Marketo (or other email tool), Salesforce (or similar CRM), Sprinkler, LinkedIn, Cvent, Canva, basic Photoshop, HTML creation
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
  • Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
  • Willingness to develop knowledge both within the marketing discipline and the industries the company operates in
  • Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels
  • Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making
  • A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to the event project team



Reporting to the Head of Marketing your responsibilities will be:


  • Event Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for events (mainly conferences),
  • Delegate Acquisition: Drive delegate registration and attendance through effective utilization of multiple marketing channels, including social media, search marketing, email, telemarketing, and partnerships.
  • Digital Marketing: Optimize event websites for SEO and conversion, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Marketing Communications: Create compelling marketing materials, including content, email campaigns, and promotional materials, to engage target audiences.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to measure marketing performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Project Management: Manage event marketing budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead generation. Create active and passive lead opportunities for the sponsorship sales and delegate sales teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, editorial, and production teams to align marketing efforts and deliver exceptional event experiences.
