Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

The Role


  • Maintain site plant and equipment to the required business and legal standards, improving machine efficiency and preventing unplanned downtime.
  • Support the development of efficiency improvements in line with the objectives of the factory.
  • Continuously develop and support the Planned Preventative Maintenance System, implementing and recommending improvements that will reduce further downtime.
  • Complete checklists allocated on a selective basis to ensure adherence to plan.
  • Support the successful introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services.
  • Liaise with production equipment suppliers and engineering sub-contractors to organise repairs and breakdowns that cannot be accomplished on site.


We are looking for:


Essential:


  • Previous Electrical/Mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing background
  • Possession of 18th edition wiring regulations certificate
  • Experience of load cell tension control
  • Experience of working with three phase/single phase circuits and intrinsically safe circuits
  • Work at heights using access equipment.
  • Must hold at least ONC qualification in an appropriate discipline.


Desirable:


  • Ideally HNC qualified
  • Experience of PLC programming and interrogation on Siemens S7/S5 and Allen Bradley, Siemens, Yaskawa, Omron and Control Techniques drive systems.
  • Possession of Health & Safety qualification i.e. IOSH would be advantageous.
  • Possession of a Compex (DSEAR) qualification would be advantageous.
  • Possession of a full current UK driving licence would be preferable although not essential.
