Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

- Based: Washington, England, United Kingdom (On-site)
The Role
- Maintain site plant and equipment to the required business and legal standards, improving machine efficiency and preventing unplanned downtime.
- Support the development of efficiency improvements in line with the objectives of the factory.
- Continuously develop and support the Planned Preventative Maintenance System, implementing and recommending improvements that will reduce further downtime.
- Complete checklists allocated on a selective basis to ensure adherence to plan.
- Support the successful introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services.
- Liaise with production equipment suppliers and engineering sub-contractors to organise repairs and breakdowns that cannot be accomplished on site.
We are looking for:
Essential:
- Previous Electrical/Mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing background
- Possession of 18th edition wiring regulations certificate
- Experience of load cell tension control
- Experience of working with three phase/single phase circuits and intrinsically safe circuits
- Work at heights using access equipment.
- Must hold at least ONC qualification in an appropriate discipline.
Desirable:
- Ideally HNC qualified
- Experience of PLC programming and interrogation on Siemens S7/S5 and Allen Bradley, Siemens, Yaskawa, Omron and Control Techniques drive systems.
- Possession of Health & Safety qualification i.e. IOSH would be advantageous.
- Possession of a Compex (DSEAR) qualification would be advantageous.
- Possession of a full current UK driving licence would be preferable although not essential.
