Spatial Design Hub is seeking a talented and detail-oriented GIS Analyst/Cartographer to join our growing team. This role combines geospatial expertise with creative cartographic skills to produce high-quality visualisations and support exciting projects with global impact.

The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with one of our key clients, contributing to innovative projects from their central London office, while also spending time at Spatial Design Hub’s office as required.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for maps, strong technical GIS skills, and an eye for design. You’ll work with tools such as ESRI GIS , QGIS , and Adobe Illustrator to develop, analyse, and present geospatial data in meaningful and visually compelling ways.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality maps and visualisations using GIS software and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Manage and process spatial datasets, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to produce tailored cartographic outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of geospatial workflows and solutions that enhance project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in GIS technology and cartographic design practices.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in ESRI GIS (e.g., ArcGIS Pro) and QGIS.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator for cartographic and design outputs.
  • Familiarity with spatial databases, data management, and geospatial workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong design aesthetics for map production.
  • Collaborative team player with solid communication skills.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with additional GIS tools or plug-ins like Network Analyst.
  • Understanding of principles of accessibility and user-friendly design in mapping.
