£40,000k to £50,000k pa BoE - Hybrid/FlexibleThe RoleAs Senior Civil Drainage Engineer, reporting to the Associate Director you will lead the design delivery for a variety of projects within the drainage infrastructure sector, with challenging projects in sustainable urban and conventional surface water drainage. You’ll take pride in your work, solve complex engineering problems, and be in your element within a busy consultancy environment.ResponsibilitiesProducing high quality deliverablesSustainable urban drainage designConventional surface drainage designSolve challenging engineering dilemmasSupport in the management of the teamTechnical support and resource planning RequirementsRelevant Civil Engineering degree (Masters desirable but not essential)7+ years of experience within the drainage sectorKnowledge of surface, and foul water design and/or construction.Sewers for adoption and Design Manual for Roads and BridgesHave or be nearing ChartershipHave SuDS Approval Body approvalCompetent in 3D design and modellingHighly competent using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and/or Autodesk ICMKnowledge of Water Authority approval processes (i.e. S104, S106)Awareness of National Planning Policy and design requirements relating to flood risk managementAble to manage workloads effectively and efficiently to meet deadlinesCompetent in relationship building (i.e. with external bodies and authorities)Able to work to your own initiative, independently, and within a teamMethodical, with excellent written and verbal communication skills What’s in it for me?Competitive salaryAgile/flexible workingLife insurance and life assurance policiesHealth care cash plan7% Employer pension contributionProfessional institution membership fees paidSupport to acquire professional membershipFormal, external training courses fully fundedContinuing professional development training (CPD)Social benefits (football, yoga, charity support)The CompanyThis is a busy, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Cardiff, covering everything from Structural and Drainage to Major Civils and Water Engineering.
