This temporary-to-permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for machinery and precision work. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and repairing equipment, contributing to a productive and supportive team environment.The Duties of a Mechanical Fitter:

  • Assemble, install, and repair mechanical systems and machinery according to specifications.
  • Inspect machinery to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including adjustments and parts replacements, to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Utilise hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
  • Work from technical drawings and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly of components.
  • Maintain and clean equipment regularly to prevent downtime.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to meet production targets.
The Requirements of a Mechanical Fitter:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
