Consultant Urologist – Hamilton, New Zealand The Urology Group New Zealand, are looking to recruit a permanent, or locum, consultant urologist to work in Waikato Public Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand. You must have FRACS or the equivalent. You must be eligible for vocational registration to work as a specialist urologist in New Zealand. Eligibility can be assessed via the Medical Council of New Zealand website The position is available from January 2026. A permanent post is our preference. The duration of a locum position would be for 12 months. Relocation assistance will be offered for a permanent or locum post. We will also assist with the process of registration and accreditation to work in New Zealand. There is the option to rent a house that is available. The role comprises -The successful applicant will be a general Urologist. -Provision of specialist inpatient and outpatient urology services, including regular clinics and operating lists, and care of ward patients. -Participation in the emergency on-call roster 1:5, including the provision of emergency surgery when required. -Assistance with the training and supervision of junior doctors when required. -Participation in weekly Continuing Medical Education meetings. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a leading tertiary hospital with excellent facilities, within a supportive team of four other specialist urologists.
