Mechanical engineering principles
Throughout the apprenticeship program, you will work towards an AdvancedApprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance), gaining bothpractical, on-the-job experience and earning industry-recognizedqualifications. Year 1 is full-time residential (classroom) training at one ofour training provider facilities. As a result, you may be required to workaway from home Monday to Friday each week during term time (costs will besupported by Amazon), combined with short periods working at one of ouroperations warehouses. Subsequent years will comprise day or block releasetraining at a specialist college where you will study for an HNC inEngineeringMechatronics, and on-the-job training in a FulfilmentSortationCentre or Delivery Station among our team of technicians and engineers.Over the course of the apprenticeship you can expect to achieve the following qualifications: • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (FoundationCompetence) for apprentices in England and Wales
Performing Engineering Operations (SCQF level 5) in Scotland
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in England and
HNC in either Mechatronics or ElectricalElectronic or Mechanical
engineering in England and Wales
Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard (England and Wales)
Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering (Scotland)
On completion of the apprenticeship, graduates will have the necessaryqualifications to obtain Eng. Tech status with the IET.To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion forengineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivationto work both independently and as part of a team.
