Job Role: Workshop Plant EngineerLocation: Portsmouth, HampshireSalary: £30,(Apply online only)-£32,(Apply online only) base salary (OTE £40,(Apply online only)-£50,(Apply online only))Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-16.30 + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card + Overtime @ 1.5xJob Type: Full time, PermanentThe Client: Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, have reached a stage of growth where they are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.The package: 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21-£24 per hour)A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5,460pa / Average (17 hours) : Additional £18,564paSalary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annumFull training & development with a focus on internal progression, route is as follows: (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)All of the above promotions accompany substantial increases in salary and benefits.The Requirements: Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential)Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)Experience working on engines would be advantageousElectrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experienceA desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your ownRelevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)Full UK Drivers LicenseThe Responsibilities: Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
