Children's Home

Burton-on-Trent (DE13)


A well-established Care Home provider for children and young adults is recruiting a Deputy Manager for their Home in Burton-on-Trent (DE13 postcode). The Home is fully equipped with amazing staff and support. This is a 3 bed EBD home.

The ideal Deputy Manager must:

  • Have experience working with OFSTED.
  • Have experience working in social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) sector
  • Good understanding of BESD children including strategies used to manage challenging behaviour
  • Have at least 2 years' experience in Children's residential care.
  • Experience working with children aged 8 -15 years olds
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3


The duties of the Deputy Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Liaising with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to ensure the very best outcomes for the young people
  • Ensuring the positive development of young people in Care
  • Using the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence, leave and more
  • Ensuring the Home is Health and Safety compliant.
  • Support the Registered Manager and lead when Manager is absent
