Job Description

Hobson Prior is seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join a dedicated team. This role will perform quality control testing following established procedures and industry standards. The successful candidate will also help manage the QC laboratory, oversee junior staff, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain procedures for quality control testing.
  • Review and document test results for various samples.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Train new team members.
  • Coordinate sample shipping and storage.
  • Communicate QC requirements within the team and with other departments.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in cell culturing.
  • Background working in a GMP environment is a necessity.
  • Familiarity with computer programs like MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good organisational abilities.
  • Willingness to work onsite five days a week.
