Job Title: Test Director – AWS Cloud Migration
Type : Full-Time Contractor (6-month contract, potential to extend to 12 months)
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Test Director to drive the testing strategy and execution for an AWS cloud migration project, overseeing the quality assurance of two application stack migrations from on-premise data centres to AWS public cloud. This is a pivotal role for a technically adept leader who excels in automation, collaboration, and innovation within complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing Strategy & Execution : Architect an end-to-end test strategy tailored for cloud migration, incorporating processes, governance, documentation, and tooling validation.
- Leadership & Collaboration : Lead diverse test teams and collaborate with application, network, and data experts.
- Automation Framework Management : Optimise manual and automation frameworks, contributing to the deployment automation process.
- End-to-End & Non-Functional Testing (NFT) : Oversee functional and non-functional testing, focusing on performance, resilience, and compliance with industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement : Enhance testing standards and practices across teams, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate insights and updates effectively to stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing challenges.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience : 8+ years in software testing, with a focus on cloud migration, AWS environments, and automation.
- Skills : Strong background with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, BitBucket, Sonar) and programming languages (Java, Python, Go).
- Mindset : Analytical, data-driven approach with a knack for problem-solving in high-stakes, collaborative settings.
