About the Role


We are looking for a skilled Automation Developer to join a Manchester team and help drive efficiency through innovative automated solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated tests and systems that enhance software quality and optimise development processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to define automation requirements and integrate solutions into the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for process automation and create solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Conduct regular test runs, analyse results, and provide insights to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues, continuously enhancing frameworks for scalability and robustness.
  • Stay current with new automation technologies, tools, and best practices.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automation Developer or similar role, with strong skills in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test script development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
