Lead Project Planner

Our Client who are a multi national Defence company are looking to recruit a number of Lead Project Planners to join existing teams to assist in the delivery of complex projects.
By joining the team, you will be working together and using world-class project control techniques to provide expertise with supporting Project Managers in the delivery of exciting and strategically important programmes within our Maritime & Land Sector businesses.
The business has a drive towards professionalism, this includes support towards Chartership and further career development.
What you will be doing:
- Using your range of skills, you will support the planning, monitoring and control of projects which will range in size and complexity
- Operating a project planning or scheduling system to work with stakeholders to resolve scheduling issues and formulate recovery / acceleration plans
- Support in the generation of project resource demand profiles
- Support the project team to analyse progress and identify schedule performance issues
- Manage the integration and involvement with internal and external stakeholders and projects across various levels
Your Skills and Experience
- You will need to have Planning/Scheduling experience demonstrated in a professional capacity in a project and within that, have an understanding of tools and techniques
- No Degree Needed but suitable experience of between 3-5years deemed essential
- Have demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying and using integrated schedule tracking and reporting systems/processes
- Hold knowledge of cost control processes and the interface with scheduling
- Knowledge across the full project lifecycle from engineering through to manufacturing
- Requisite skills to look out for: monitoring, planning, estimating, scheduling, analysis, reporting, influencing, cost, budget, forecasting, reporting, finance, performance management, baseline management, quality, risk, change, earned value management
- Looking for experience of Microsoft Project (basic) through to Primavera P6 (high end)
