Partnership Account Manager – Public Transport Technology

Our client, a public sector technology powerhouse, is looking for a Partnership Account Manager to be the backbone of this multi-million-pound project. What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you’ll be the essential connection in client partnerships, nurturing relationships that fuel the project’s success. Working closely with the UK Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Commercial Operations, your holistic account oversight will ensure every client interaction, third-party touchpoint, and conversation is seamless. You’ll bring cohesion to all facets of this project, managing complex stakeholder relationships for smooth delivery and a transformative impact on public transport.


The Solution

Our client is pioneering intelligent technology solutions that elevate public transport systems to new levels of efficiency and reliability. This innovation-driven approach supports local authorities, including Transport for London, with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) designed to optimise operations and enhance passenger experience.

  • Real-Time Passenger Information : Providing up-to-the-minute data on arrivals, delays, and service disruptions via screens at stops and mobile apps, keeping passengers informed and journeys smooth.
  • Automated Fare Collection : Simplifying payment options with smartcards and contactless solutions that streamline journeys across multiple transport modes.
  • Fleet Management & Vehicle Tracking : Enabling real-time bus tracking to optimise fleet operations and enhance punctuality.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting : Offering deep data insights into passenger flow and performance for data-driven improvements.
  • Demand-Responsive Transport Solutions : Implementing adaptive models that adjust to real-time demand, improving efficiency and customer experience.

These integrated solutions work together to create a smoother, more sustainable, and passenger-friendly public transport environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Partnership : Act as the main contact for the client’s commercial manager, building high-trust relationships with stakeholders to align expectations and ensure commercial success.
  • Holistic Oversight : Keep every detail coordinated, ensuring the project stays on track and exceeds client expectations.
  • Governance & Compliance : Collaborate with legal teams on contract variations to ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Growth Opportunities : Proactively identify upsell opportunities, working with internal teams to develop growth-focused proposals.


What we’re looking for:

  • Account Management Experience : Proven success managing large, high-value contracts in public sector or transport environments.
  • Transport Knowledge : Familiarity with public transport operations and commercial requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Skills : Skilled in building enduring partnerships across multi-functional teams.
  • Technical Aptitude : Solid background in IT and technology transitions.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset : Detail-oriented and proactive, focused on exceeding client expectations.


Qualifications:

  • Education : Degree in Business, IT, Transport, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications : Customer success, IT service management (e.g., ITIL), or revenue management certifications are beneficial.
