Chartway Civil Engineering is a Kent-based civil engineering company, with a wealth of experience working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, for both the Chartway Group, and external clients.


Right now, due to our continued growth, we are looking for an Estimator, to join our growing Pre Construction Team on a permanent basis out of our offices in Maidstone, Kent.


About The Role…

As an Estimator, you will work as part of the wider Commercial team and be responsible for preparing whole development budgets, estimates and cashflows from initial cost plan to final budget estimate, prior to the handover to the Quantity Surveying and Buying teams.


You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for a variety of Civil Engineering projects, including labour, materials, equipment & Subcontractor services. You'll analyse project specifications and blueprints to provide comprehensive estimates.


On site, you will monitor project costs and provide updates on the budgetary status, as well as identify potential risks and develop strategies for cost mitigation.

You’ll come from a similar position preferably with previous ground works or civil engineering experience, with a thorough understanding of Estimating & Surveying, and a specific and in-depth knowledge of preparing realistic budgets.
