Job Description

English Graduate – Waltham Forest – Immediate Start


Take on a rewarding role as an English Academic Mentor in Waltham Forest, where you’ll support students in their preparation for GCSE exams. This is a fantastic opportunity for you as an English Graduate to apply your expertise in English and make a significant impact on students' academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted interventions as an English Academic Mentor in Waltham Forest.
  • Support students preparing for their GCSE exams, helping them improve their English skills.
  • Use your specialist knowledge to assist students who require additional support in English.
  • Work closely with teachers and the learning support team to develop and implement effective study strategies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering guidance and motivation to help them achieve their goals.


Requirements for the English Graduate Role:

  • A 1:1 degree in English from a top UK university.
  • Strong academic background with excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
  • Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.

  • The position is available for an immediate start and runs until July 2025.
