Lead Software Engineer

Hampshire offices - Hybrid with 2 days in the office per week

  • Salary up to £120,000

Lead Software Engineering required to direct on and deliver innovation within the companies marketplace solutions. With heavy investment in technology and year-on-year market growth, the company are looking to continue their expansion by enhancing their end-to-end marketplace capabilities.

Within this position, you'll provide hands-on support for the development and deployment of existing and new marketplace solutions by consulting on design and architecture decisions and resolving any bottle-necks. This role will still offer hands-on development but will be supplemented by experience in leading / mentoring other engineers.

Key experience

  • Prior experience developing marketplace solutions and products
  • Passion for using modern technology to create effective and interactive customer facing software products
  • Experience in leading Agile teams or projects within Marketplace, or similar environments
  • A strong background in software engineering and hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node
  • Well versed with modern cloud platforms with a preference for GCP and AWS
  • Experience in technical decision making and Event Driven or Microservices architecture

Additional Experience in any of the following is also highly-desirable (but not essential):

  • Previous experience in MarTech sector
  • Practical working knowledge of the Braze platform
  • Google Cloud Professional certification
  • Big or Deep data experience
