My client is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer skilled in Python, Go/Rust to lead fintech engineering team. This role is crucial to shaping and building our next-gen financial products, requiring deep technical expertise, architectural insight, and hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor engineering teams, setting high standards for code quality, security, and scalability.
  • Architecture & Development: Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance systems using Python, Go, and Rust.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product and data science teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Build low-latency, high-throughput services; lead efforts on performance tuning and optimization.

Required Skills:

  • Programming Expertise: Strong experience in Python, Go, and Rust for web development, microservices, and high-performance applications.
  • System Design: Proven track record in architecting scalable, distributed systems, ideally in fintech.
  • Data Management: Proficient with SQL/NoSQL databases, in-memory caching, and real-time data processing.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Security & Compliance: Familiarity with fintech-specific security best practices and regulatory compliance.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years in software engineering with a focus on backend development in Python, Go, and Rust.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and mentor teams.
  • Fintech experience is a plus, especially in payments, trading, or digital finance platforms.
