Automated Test Engineer

Onsite in Gloucestershire Contract. Rate £450 - £672 per day inside IR35

Guidant Global are interested in hearing from accomplished and highly ambitious Automated Test Engineers to work with our exceptional client - a world class brand in a secure environment.

This contract role will require you to hold a valid DV clearance. The Test Engineer role is conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we’re not looking for ordinary. The role is based on site in Gloucestershire.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the Software Lead to define, document and set up the automated test regime for unit/component testing/system testing/system integration testing
  • Work with the Software Lead to develop an automated test framework/software simulator to prove the successful system integration of a chain of systems at the software layer
  • Identify Test Cases, write the automated tests (see languages) define the test plan, configure the test environment, develop the prototype test framework, enhance the test framework
  • Monitor defects, resolve defects and provide associated metrics to the management team
  • Work within an agile development methodology. Be comfortable working to deadlines as an individual and a team member

Required Technical skills:

• Test Automation (preferably Robot Framework)

• Linux skills (with bash scripting experience)

• C++

• Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
