Job Description

Job Title: SAP FI/CO Consultant (S/4HANA) – Greenfield Implementation


Location: London (Client Location) - 1/2 days a week


Day Rate: Market rates (Inside IR35)


Contract Length: Initial 9 months (with potential extension)


We are hiring for an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant to join a global consultancy on a greenfield S/4HANA implementation project for a leading food retailer. This role focuses on the first part of the Explore phase, with the opportunity to contribute to both design and build, validating user stories, creating data definition documents, and ensuring SAP Best Practices are adopted.


Role Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and configuration of SAP FI/CO for S/4HANA.
  • Validate user stories for consistency and completeness with client requirements.
  • Create Data Definition documents for key data objects.
  • Document business processes based on SAP Best Practices and adopt an “adopt rather than adapt” mindset.
  • Present business processes in fit-gap workshops and drive discussions to ensure process updates and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the delta RICEFW and configuration requirements and provide inputs for high-level designs.


Required Skills:

  • Expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI General Ledger, Profit Centres, and SAP S/4HANA CO Product Cost Controlling.
  • Knowledge of integration points between SAP FI/CO and SAP Merchandising for retail.
  • Understanding of financial implications for SAP Condition Contracts and SAP MM Purchasing Pricing, including landed costs.
  • Proven experience in process design, data definitions, configuration, and functional design documentation.
  • Experience in greenfield implementations and client-facing roles with strong stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and BPML tools (Aris/Blueworks/SolMan Focused Build/Visio).
