You will conduct comprehensive security assessments, focusing on web and mobile app security, cloud security, adversary emulation, and ongoing security posture improvement.
Your expertise will directly influence the security of products used by clients worldwide, ensuring they remain protected in the complex and ever-changing threat landscape.

Lead Security Testing: Conduct rigorous security assessments of web and mobile applications (iOS/Android) and developer operations, identifying vulnerabilities and security weaknesses before they can be exploited.
Deep Dive into Code: Perform detailed source code reviews to spot flaws or potential security issues, making sure developers are following secure coding practices from the ground up.
Adversary Emulation: Use your expertise to emulate real-world attackers and challenge the effectiveness of security controls, offering practical insights to improve the security framework.
Collaboration: Work alongside global development teams to maintain the ongoing security of a globally adopted, cloud-native platform, ensuring all security controls are functioning as intended.
Continuous Security Improvement: Regularly evaluate and improve the security posture through the use of cutting-edge tools like SAST, DAST, and SCA. Provide feedback and actionable recommendations for vulnerability mitigation and risk reduction.

The salary on offer for this Application Penetration Tester role, is paying up to £120,000 base plus benefits package.
The firm is based in London City and due to its critical market focus, operate an on-site model of working i.e. you will need to be in the office 5 days per week.

Experience : 3-5 years of experience in application security testing, including penetration testing and source code review, with a strong understanding of web and mobile app vulnerabilities.
Technical Expertise : Proficiency with tools like Burp Suite Pro, Checkmarx, Synopsys, Acunetix, VeraCode, and cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure/Oracle). These credentials demonstrate your commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.
Programming & Secure Coding : Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages and secure coding practices, with a focus on identifying flaws at the code level.
