Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to develop your expertise in the insurance sector? We're seeking an Insurance Technician to provide essential technical and administrative support to our broking teams. You’ll be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our processes, enabling our brokers to focus on client relationships and driving business success.

As part of our close-knit team, you will specialise in specific insurance lines, allowing you to grow your technical skills and knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our operations while gaining valuable experience in a thriving industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to set and prioritise objectives, ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
  • Handle detailed client and broking documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process slips, quotes, endorsements, and adjustments efficiently with a high level of precision.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and handle data entry, credit control, and compliance tasks.
  • Assist with client renewals and mid-term adjustments, providing high-quality service.
  • Stay informed of industry regulations and ensure that all tasks comply with relevant policies.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to urgent issues, delivering effective solutions.

About You

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths are essential.
  • A-levels Grade A-C (or equivalent).


Experience:

  • Previous experience in insurance or a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with insurance platforms (such as Acturis, Xchanging systems, Applied) is advantageous.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of work.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well within a team and provide support to colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to learning and developing expertise in allocated business lines.
