The Physical Health Assistant will work closely with the Physical Health Nurse, providing care to our residents. This role is similar to working in a GP setting providing treatment room care and routine nursing related duties. Phlebotomy
To undertake basic wound care and inform Physical Health Nurse of any changes
To administer Flu and Covid vaccine clinics having been adequately trained
To assess pressure areas and skin integrity and report to Physical Health nurse or Nurse in Charge of any change.
Continence Project
Organising and supporting residents with the Oakleaf Wellness Buddies Programme
To maintain high standards of tidiness, hygiene and safety in the use of all equipment and areas of work, in line with the Practice Health and Safety policy, Infection Control Policy as well as all other Practice policies and procedures.
To attend course and study days as required or thought necessary to maintain high standards and to record these as part of continuing professional development.
About you: The post-holder will have experience within a physical health care setting. The post-holder will work closely with the Physical Health Nurse. established in 1994, and is one of the largest providers of specialist social care services supporting 5000 adults with a wide range of needs in more than 300 services across the UK.
