Middlesbrough, United Kingdom AM Recruitment Ltd Full time
Job Description

My client is an alternative fuel provider for heavy and energy-intensive industries such as cement and steel. We make solid improved recovered fuel (SIRF) pellets from non-recyclable waste, diverting waste from landfill to help our customers achieve their decarbonisation goals and foster a circular economy. By manufacturing high-quality alternative fuels from non-recyclable materials, we turn waste into a valuable resource, driving sustainable industrial practices and a cleaner future for all.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in our newly established manufacturing facility located in the Port of Middlesbrough. We are currently experiencing a period of significant growth, having transitioned from the commissioning stage to ramping up to full production and are therefore looking for someone who is eager to learn and passionate about system improvement.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for all electrical aspects of the site. We are not necessarily looking for someone fully experienced but rather someone who is motivated to grow in their career. We are committed to supporting your development and helping you reach your full potential. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of the site, building your team, and meeting production targets while maintaining a strong health and safety culture through our established safety systems.

Purpose of Role

The Electrical Engineer will design, develop and maintain electrical systems for our site, always ensuring a pragmatic and professional approach to tasks.

General Responsibilities

• Design and enhance electrical systems that adhere to engineering codes and company requirements.

• Analyse test data to ensure our manufacturing process meet industry standards.

• Draw up project plans and technical diagrams, using engineering design software.

• Perform feasibility studies for new projects, calculating project costs and delivery timelines.

• Oversee maintenance, inspection and system upgrade programmes.

• Maintain electrical systems and components including creating test procedures and maintenance schedules and preparing documentation such as user manuals and system specifications.
