Job Description

Cygnus is a creative & digital agency looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to become a player within our thriving agency and push the digital marketing department forward. Working with clients large and small, across various sectors, you’ll be integral in driving our digital offering forward, as part of an ambitious, passionate team.


Job Overview:

This role will involve being able to work with the digital marketing team to support them with campaigns and retainer work via multi-discipline marketing efforts.


The successful candidate will be expected to have an understanding or enthusiasm to learn a variety of digital marketing channels. Such as, but not limited to: social media, paid search, paid social, analytics and influencer management. They should also be up to date with ongoing digital advancements and updates within their skillset to ensure the team is using the best and latest features for future projects.


They should also have excellent time management and attention to detail. A basic understanding of G-suite would be desirable (Google Sheets, Docs & Slides)

Key responsibilities:


  • Support Digital Marketing team with strategy research for new and existing clients
  • Creating reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and metrics that measure the success of marketing campaigns
  • Assisting with market research efforts, analysing industry trends and identifying new opportunities
  • Assisting with keyword research and competitor analysis and optimising website content for search engines
  • Community management for social media clients ensuring clear and concise tone of voice
  • Manage social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts
  • Analysing website traffic data, measuring site performance and creating reports that help identify opportunities for optimisation
  • Helping with the creation, management and optimisation of digital advertising campaigns across different media platforms

Key involvement in the following duties:
  • Assist in the scoping of new digital marketing projects
  • Work closely with the digital team to develop digital projects
  • Keep the team informed of changing digital marketing changes and updates
  • Deliver a high standard of work following best practises

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of social media best practises
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn the fundamentals of paid media (PPC) across multiple channels and search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Good knowledge in G-suite (G-mail, Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Strong Sheets knowledge desired but not required
  • Be able to share knowledge and skills with the team
  • Have an eye for identifying possible future development and plan accordingly

Interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Have an excellent eye for detail
  • Highly organised, confident and articulate
  • Incredibly self-motivated and innovative
  • Able to multitask and handle a number of different projects
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Work individually or as a team as required and become a strong advocate of Cygnus
  • Ready to go above and beyond when it comes to delivery of project
