Process Engineer

Job DescriptionProcess EngineerWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary R&D engineering team, you will be responsible for development of new and scale up of the existing processes. This is a diverse role in a rapidly moving environment; you will be encouraged to come up with new and innovative ideas and share and apply any knowledge and skills to support existing teams and projects. RoleScale up of new product and processes from lab scale into manufacturing sites;Technology transfer, implementation and validation of various processes into manufacturing sites (coating application, drying, marking etc);Development and design of new coating application and drying processes;Setting up, running and coordinating trial protocols and DoE’s (Design of Experiments), data collection, analysis and reporting;Technical support for production team and transfer of knowledge from R&D to other departments.CandidateEngineering degree – chemical, process, mechanical, manufacturing or relevant vocational qualification with the ability to demonstrate experience / ability:- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving mindset;- Ability to take the initiative and dictate own workload while in busier periods;- Take pride in the quality of your work;- Ability to work and communicate well as part of a team positively and respectfully (at Pulpex, we are all very passionate about what we do and what we are working towards together; no one person is more important or valuable than the team);- Always be optimistic about the work at hand; no problem is too big or small that it can’t be overcome;- A willingness to learn and develop one’s skillset; and to share existing skills and knowledge with others;- Right to Work in the UK.Desirable but not essentialExperience in scale up, process development, technology transfers and manufacturing support;Experience within moulded fibre industry;Six Sigma qualification / knowledge.
