Proclinical is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and manage capital projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to high-quality standards. This role involves providing technical leadership, adhering to compliance and safety standards, and contributing to a portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct technical appraisals to identify feasible engineering solutions.
  • Lead design reviews and generate technical documents, such as User Requirement Specifications and Technical Specifications.
  • Manage project work packages, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities (FAT/SAT).
  • Support and execute commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and promote innovative solutions and process improvements.
  • Perform problem-solving to identify root causes of failures.
  • Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.
  • Develop Quality Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage safety and environmental considerations for new systems.
  • Oversee safe equipment startup, shutdown, and job control practices.
  • Raise any Health and Safety concerns to your line manager or EHS team.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Professional qualification with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management and engineering best practices within a cGMP or regulated environment.
  • Understanding of engineering design processes.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and utility systems is preferred.
