Tufa AG, a software development company focused on high frequency trading software, is looking for a Data Scientist / Engineer to help us generate data for new asset classes. This is a freelancer / contractor position (fee ranges from CHF 50k to CHF 70k p.a.). Applications (Please read carefully): We can only accept DIRECT applications sent to strat-hiring@tufa.ai Thank you very much Key Tasks: Analysis: Conduct an initial comprehensive analysis to identify high-potential markets based on trade volumes, market volatility, historical data costs, ease of market access, live data costs and other key metrics. Data sourcing: Obtain multiple quotes and engage with different data vendors for cost comparisons on acquisition of new data. Data engineering: write python code to download and process the data into our S3 bucket. Implement various well documented classes that allow us to then make use of the data downstream. General software engineering: if the asset class looks promising, we may ask you to assist with live data integration which will involve writing code to serve live market data to us. Requirements: Fluency in English Proficiency in Python Advanced knowledge in Pandas Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., S3) Familiarity with data engineering Familiarity with algorithmic trading Ability to work independently and remotely (you are free to choose your own hours) Applications (Please read carefully): We can only accept DIRECT applications sent to strat-hiring@tufa.ai Thank you very much
