Position: Transaction Banking / Payments Consultant (Product Manager) for Global Bank Clients


About Us:

We are a specialised consulting firm dedicated to providing high-quality support to financial institutions, focusing on regulatory compliance and financial projects across Europe. We work closely with our clients—mainly banks and wholesale financial institutions—on product development, business analysis, project management, and PMO support to ensure successful project delivery.


Role Overview:

In this role, you will join client projects in the transaction banking and payments sectors, applying your expertise to support seamless project execution and helping to ensure thorough outcomes. Depending on your experience, you will have the opportunity to contribute to or lead areas of product development, process management, and regulatory compliance.


Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting or leading product management, operational oversight, and implementation tasks within transaction banking and/or payments projects

• Contributing to or overseeing UAT (User Acceptance Testing), process documentation, and stakeholder coordination to facilitate product launches

• Leveraging your knowledge of transaction banking and payment systems to identify potential risks or oversights and ensure efficient project progression

• Focusing on UK/European regulatory compliance, supporting initiatives, and advising clients on best practices

• Acting as an embedded consultant within client organisations, taking on roles ranging from PMO support to project management of commercialisation initiatives

• Participating in agile development as a Scrum team member, including user story creation and requirements definition


Key Requirements:


For Senior Consultant Level :

• 5-6 years of experience in transaction banking or cross-border / domestic payments for large corporates, with demonstrated knowledge of product management, operational processes, or implementation at global banks

• Ability to work autonomously within a team, providing targeted support and ensuring thorough completion of assigned tasks

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreign exchange or treasury management (Preferable)

• Proven experience with Nostro account management and integration (Preferable)

• Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with Scrum practices (Preferable)

• English/Japanese bilingual (Preferable)


For Manager or above Level :

• 8+ years of experience with extensive expertise in transaction banking (including corporate online banking systems) or cross-border / domestic payments for large corporates at global banks

• Proven experience leading projects or initiatives within financial institutions, with skills in managing complex projects, negotiating with stakeholders, and advising on strategic approaches

• Strong understanding of transaction banking products or payment systems (ISO, SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS etc.), with specialised knowledge in at least one area

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to adapt to various client needs

• Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance, especially in European frameworks (SEPA, PSD2, MiFiD 2 etc.)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreign exchange or treasury management (Preferable)

• Proven experience with Nostro account management and integration (Preferable)

• Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with Scrum practices (Preferable)
