Head of Software Engineering A new company is coming to Northern Ireland that merges the country’s love for sports and technology. This creates an opportunity for someone to focus on two passions- building, scaling a tech start up and their love of the “beautiful game”. The role We are searching for a Head of Engineering. Someone that hasn’t quite left code behind them but wants to remain hands on while having loftier ambitions. The business is small- as grassroots as it gets. Not only will you be hands on with technology and architecture but you will also be determined to hire the right team to ensure the products success. The business is entering the first half of its journey and it needs a player/coach to bring this one home. Joining a new tech business, coding while hiring and mentoring junior players. Working across the tech stack- UI, Backend, Data and Cloud. Preferably experienced in Python but may be able to substitute with a specialist in the above domains. Establishing best practices, leading and developing the team. Leading the design of new features. Building a GENAI powered application for football teams and sports fans. The company- New to Northern Ireland, established by a former football and a prominent name within the sport. Less than 10 employees and ready for you to make a real impression. A genAI platform with an application both team side and fan side, focused on Football. What’s in it for you? Salary will be determined by experience and skills. This is open ended and negotiable.
