We are a dynamic and innovative AI Data organisation. We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Scala, TypeScript, React, and Redux to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with modern technologies and building scalable, high-quality web applications from end to end.

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications. This includes developing backend services in Scala and creating intuitive, responsive frontend interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Redux. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features that meet user needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development : Design and develop backend services and APIs using Scala.
  • Frontend Development : Create responsive, high-performance user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Redux.
  • End-to-End Development : Work across the stack to deliver seamless integration of front and backend services.
  • Code Quality : Write clean, scalable, and testable code, following best practices in both functional and front-end programming.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimization : Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability through refactoring, code reviews, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Testing and Debugging : Ensure robustness through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; debug and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation of code, architecture, and development processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience : 4+ years of full-stack development experience in a professional environment.
  • Backend Proficiency : Strong experience with Scala, particularly in building scalable backend services.
  • Frontend Expertise : Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Redux, with a deep understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
  • Database Knowledge : Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, with an ability to design efficient queries and data structures.
  • API Design : Experience designing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, with a focus on best practices in API structure, security, and documentation.
  • Testing : Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools like Jest, Mocha, JUnit, or similar, and a commitment to writing robust tests.
  • Deployment & CI/CD : Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Agile Methodology : Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to approach complex technical challenges with a logical and resourceful mindset.
