Role: Warehouse Manager - Automotive Manufacturing

Location: South Birmingham

Working hours: Monday to Thursday- 8am- 5pm, Friday 8am- 12:30pm

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000

Benefits: £7500 car allowance, Private medical care, plus other benefits.



Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for a challenging role in the automotive manufacturing sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our clients' established business in South Birmingham.


Role Overview

As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the warehouse operations, managing a team of 2 direct and 20 indirect reports. You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement in processes and procedures while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the warehouse team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Optimize warehouse operations, leveraging our existing automation systems for goods in and out
  • Conduct regular reviews of risk assessments and implement necessary changes
  • Enhance health and safety management practices across the warehouse
  • Manage the Stores team effectively, ensuring efficient inventory control
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency


Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably in the automotive manufacturing sector. Working with high-volume components coming into the warehouse.
  • Strong people management skills with a track record of leading and developing teams
  • Expertise in process improvement and lean management principles
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems and inventory management software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
