We are seeking a Primary Teacher who has worked with students with social, emotional and mental health issues for a vibrant primary school in Wandsworth, specialising in supporting pupils who have got an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as an Primary Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.The SchoolThe successful Primary Teacher applicant would be joining a supportive and small school in Wandsworth for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and benefit from being in a smaller environment tailored to their learning needs. This school offers provision for pupils from 5-16 years and provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupil's specific needs and allows the students to gain independence and life skills.Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalised educational programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the primary teacher in the classroom.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.
  • Work with and lead a support team within the classroom
Primary Teacher Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of working with students in an SEMH environment.
  • Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
