Position

As an Infrastructure Software Engineer at Unique X, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability of our infrastructure. You will diagnose and resolve the root causes of issues, streamline new deployments and configurations, and actively participate in new software and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop infrastructure-focused software solutions with an emphasis on Java to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues, ensuring root cause identification and long-term solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Lead the modernization and migration of legacy infrastructure, focusing on scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Build tools and applications to proactively monitor and predict infrastructure performance issues.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure seamless configurations.
  • Provide expert-level support to customers, working to prevent and resolve recurring incidents.
  • Contribute to and actively participate in both on-site and remote deployments.

Essentials

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong Java programming skills, with the ability to design and implement robust solutions.
  • Proficiency in other programming languages, such as Python, for secondary scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration, automation, and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking technologies, including switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Solid expertise in Linux system configuration and management.
