You'll be someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO partners.
Your Role
You'll be involved in valuation and advisory engagements relating to financial products across all asset classes, including contentious and non-contentious matters. This will include risk-related matters such as default risk modelling.
You'll also be involved in other forms of quantitative/statistical advisory projects.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science with an interest in finance and financial instrument valuation, hedging, and structuring.
- Familiarity with programming in a high-level language (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Excel VBA) and/or experience with econometric software packages (e.g., STATA, SAS).
- An effective communicator with an intellectual curiosity and analytical mind-set.
- Strong business writing, analytical, and modelling skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical information clearly.
- An interest in applying tools from finance, mathematics, and data science to provide pragmatic and robust solutions.
