Ledger Assistant

Based close to South Warrington, this entry level role is ideal for college leavers/people with 6+ months work experience, who are keen to pursue a career within finance. Study support towards your AAT qualification will be available.Responsibilities will be as follows and full training will be given:-Coding and inputting supplier invoices to the purchase ledger systemProcessing invoices in the approval system, ensuring all invoices are issued to the correct site forapprovalLiaising with the sites to ensure invoices are approved on time for payment to suppliersReconciling supplier statementsSupport resolution of supplier and customer queriesOpening and forwarding post to the correct departmentsGreet callers to the primary external line professionally and direct calls accordinglyKeeping supplier details, account and other records accurate and up to dateKeeping customer details and other records accurate and up to dateSupport Penalty charge notice administrationSupport Credit Card and Expenses Administration activitiesAny other duties as requested by the Ledger Manager, Finance Manager or Finance DirectorProvide cover for other members of the finance team when necessary.Maintain systems at all times to ensure quality and accuracy of information being recorded and/orpresented.Skills required:-Confidence using excel to manipulate dataGood communication skillsGood organisational skillsHigh level of attention to detailBenefits:-Salary £22k - £24k depending on experience – subject to inflationary review in April 202525 days holiday plus bank holidaysAdditional employee wellbeing benefitsPlease apply now for consideration
