Your New Role

Job Purpose ​​

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be required to manage a Ipsum client sites.​​

​​

Principal Accountabilities ​​

  • Working as Principal Contractor ​​
  • Ability to oversee Electrical and mechanical installations​​
  • Working with and updating the Project Manager ​​
  • Supervision and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress​​
  • Liaising with the Project manager, client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public​​
  • Coordinate and supervise construction personnel​​
  • Carry out checks on plant and equipment for suitability​​
  • Carry out safety inspections and ensuring site safety ​​
  • Maintaining quality control procedures ​​
  • Preparing site reports and updating the site safety file​​
  • Carry out site inductions​​
  • Fault finding and problem solving ​​
  • Assessing and minimising risk​

About You

Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Qualifications ​​

  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme card​​
  • First Aid at work (or willing to be trained)​​
  • CSCS manager’s card ​​
  • NRSWA
  • Temporary Works
  • SMSTS

​​

Knowledge & Experience ​​

  • Previous site management experience working in utilities sector.​​
  • Experience with CDM regulations ​​
  • Experience in civil construction ​​
  • Mechanical and Electrical or Construction industry experience​


Desirable Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Exceptional communication skills​​
  • A strong sense of initiative​​
  • The ability to build excellent working relationships.​​
  • Good time management and an ability to plan ahead.​​
  • Critical and problem-solving skills​
  • AP61 CPCS
  • NG competent
