Quality Engineer

My client an established manufacturing and sub-contract services company are currently looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to take responsibility for ensuring delivery and maintenance of the company's QHSE Management System, associated documentation and overall quality of products to meet customer requirements.This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week over a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday)*** It is ESSENTIAL that candidates have the ability to work unrestricted in the UK without any CURRENT or FUTURE requirement for employer sponsorship ***Key Responsibilities: Verification / Validation all product specifications have been met during the product manufacturing processProcessing customer concerns through the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR / 8D) process to completionIdentification, Investigation and disposition of non-conforming material through the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) processParticipate in supplier QBRs with the production of supporting Quality data to aid the monitoring & measurement of supply chainMonitor Supplier performance in relation to non-conforming product with regular internal / external communications, reviews and follow-upSupport and advise on product queriesPerform Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) as requiredReporting of QHSE Metrics / KPI'sAssist in the production of System Management documentation and reviewsSupport NPI, product development and 'first off' process approvalCarry out internal process and system audits with action follow-up and progression to closure (ISO9001 / ISO(phone number removed) / ISO45001 / ISO14001)Calibration management / control, inc. liaising with external providersAssist in the implementation of process improvement activitiesLiaise with various stakeholders regarding the processing, evaluation and reporting of customer returns.Key Qualification / Experience Requirements: Hold a relevant HNC or equivalent level qualification in an Engineering/Quality related subjectExcellent knowledge and awareness of Quality Management SystemsAbility to carry out Root Cause Analysis, identify corrective and preventative measures and monitor effectivenessAbility to conduct audits on Business systems and processes to meet ISO standardsAbility to prepare, analyse and report quality statistics internally and externally at all levelsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAn understanding of quality improvement programmes and IPC electronic assembly knowledge would be advantageousStrong understanding and knowledge of MRP systemsFor further details on this opportunity contact Jason Wallis at Service Care Solutions
