Location: Rotherham
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, with alternate weekend shifts (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) and a midweek day off.

They are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join their Mobile Plant Maintenance team. Based in Rotherham, this role involves providing maintenance and repair services for a diverse range of mobile plants and equipment across Rotherham and Sheffield.
About The Role

  • Perform MOT preparation, annual servicing, and breakdown repairs on-site vans.
  • Maintain and repair HGVs, trailers, mobile cranes, forklifts, and specialized heavy industrial vehicles used in the steelmaking industry.
  • Offer mechanical and basic electrical maintenance services, including fault-finding on mobile plant equipment.
About You:
  • Qualifications: You should be BTEC, NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
  • Safety-Conscious: Strong understanding of safe working procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Skills: Methodical approach to work, excellent fault-finding abilities, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Independent Worker: Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, and deliver exceptional customer service in line with departmental objectives.
  • License: A full, valid UK driving license is essential
