Albany Growth have partnered with a PE backed B2B business that builds workflow software to help create a safer and fairer world. They are currently embarking on a major transformation of modernisation and searching for multiple Engineering Managers to lead this. As an Engineering Manager you will be highly technical and ideally have experience with multiple languages, understanding modern SE principals. The current tech landscape is varied, consisting of C#, Java, PHP, Kotlin and C++. We are ideally searching for leaders who see technology as a tool, and not pidgeon holed to certain environments.

We are looking for hands-on polyglot Engineering Manager’s that have experience with two or more of the following:

  • .NET Core/C# & Azure
  • Full Microsoft Stack technologies
  • Java & Kotlin
  • PHP & Laravel
  • Front end - React / Angular

Requirements:

  • Looking for Engineering Lead’s with a modern mindset with experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in Agile development teams.
  • Can be a Principal Engineer who has recently transitioned into management. Able to lead, yet still close enough to the code.
  • Experience with TDD, Agile environments.
  • Strong architecture experience and practices.
  • Modern delivery methods including general Agile, test-driven development, and building high-availability, self-healing platforms
  • Have developed a flexible approach to work, adapting your thinking and delivery methods to achieve the target outcomes
  • Desirable to have full stack experience across backend, frontend and platforms e.g. Java, C#, React, Angular, Azure, AWS with strong exposure to good security practices. Knowledge of app development helpful i.e. Kotlin and Swift
  • Our client are based in London and work on a hybrid model. We are looking for candidates that can be in the office 2 days on average per week.
