CNC Lathe Operator, Setter & Programmer


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Operator, Setter & Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and be proficient in programming CNC lathes using G-Code. Experience with Haas machines and bar feeder attachments is essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC lathes (predominantly Haas) to produce high-quality precision parts.

- Set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring proper tooling and setup.

- Program CNC lathes on-line using G-Code to meet production specifications and tolerances.

- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

- Conduct quality checks on the machined components using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure conformance to specifications.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.

- Keep detailed production logs and documentation of processes and changes made.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.


Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator, Setter & Programmer.

- Proficient in programming CNC lathes using G-Code.

- Previous experience operating Haas machines is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with bar feeder attachments and their operation.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Knowledge of machining processes and tools.

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
