1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (S63, Rotherham)Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Primary School in S63, RotherhamDays: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per dayContract: Immediate start with the possibility of a temporary to permanent contractWe are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 1 with special educational needs at a primary school in the S63 area of Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for making a positive difference in a child's educational experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in managing the pupil's behavior and emotional needs, using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to build a trusting relationship with the pupil and work collaboratively with staff.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate are desirable but not essential.
