From design verification, the early stage of ensuring new pressure equipment is manufactured safely and to all appropriate standards, to conformity assessments, when it is approved as market ready, and a whole more, our team are vital when it comes to the production of new pressure equipment.To be considered for this role, you will live between York and Hull and willing to travel within the Yorkshire area.What will you be doing?As a Pre-Commissioning Engineer for BES Group Consultancy, you will be responsible for providing pre-commissioning inspection services for pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks across our customer sites.You will: Inspect in-service dangerous goods tanks and pressure equipment to establish fit for purpose, or to ensure quality of modifications and repairsReview quality documentation relating to materials, welding and non-destructive testing for both newly constructed and repaired/modified equipmentWork closely with our Technical Consultancy Head Office team to ensure that technical and commercial information is communicated effectively, contracts are managed appropriately, and billable time is detailedManage and deliver specific projects, as well as assisting with the training of our Engineer SurveyorsCarry out detailed reporting, with no compromise, everEnsure all customers are compliant with vital regulations that help to govern their industry in the UKAlways provide an exceptional level of customer service, whilst representing our brilliant company professionallyAs part of our team, you will get: A minimum standard starting salary of £50,000 depending on experience£5,500 annual car cash allowanceUp to 10% pension contribution2 x life coverEnhanced maternity / adoption leaveAnnual salary review25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysAn additional day’s holiday for your birthday every yearAccess to our buy and sell holiday schemeOpportunity for flexible workingElectric Vehicle salary sacrifice schemeDiscounts and savings via our employee benefits portalHealth and wellbeing support via our Employee Assistance ProgrammeCompany wide volunteering schemeFundraising support for your chosen charityTo be join our team, you will need: A Level 4 engineering qualification and a substantive level of practical experience, alongside an understanding of the pressure equipment directiveAn understanding of pressure equipment (PED / PE(S)R)Experience of carriage of dangerous goods (CDG / ADR)Considerable experience inspecting new or repaired/modified construction pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks within a manufacturing, pharma, nuclear, shipping or other relevant environmentExperience and knowledge of welding processes and procedures, weld inspection and weld defectsTo be able to communicate complex and technical problems with easeA proficient level of IT and literacy skills to complete detailed customer reports.We want you to be youOur focus on diversity, equality and inclusion is here to stay.Our team is made up of some of the most skilled and talented people and that’s what matters to us.
