Job Description

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Regeneration Programme Manager for my local authority client based in the West Midlands on an interim contract for 6 months.


This is to lead on the transformation of the town centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering a mixed-use regeneration proposal aimed at boosting economic growth and creating new employment opportunities.


Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, implementation and delivery of the town centre regeneration project.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector partners, investors, developers and community groups.


  • Economic Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for economic growth and job creation within the town centre.


  • Land Development: Work closely with landowners and developers to create exciting new opportunities for development on publicly owned land.


  • Civic Development: Lead the development of a brand-new civic theatre and library.


  • Infrastructure Improvements: Coordinate the delivery of essential infrastructure projects, such as a multi-storey car park and a physical activity hub.


  • Community Engagement: Foster strong community involvement and support for the regeneration project.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, with a successful track record of delivering complex regeneration projects.
  • Strong understanding of economic development and land use planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with public sector organisations and community groups.
