About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Director to lead client's security strategy and operations in the Midlands. This high-impact role will be pivotal in safeguarding our organisation against evolving cyber threats, overseeing compliance, and setting the strategic direction for security across all digital and physical assets.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect systems, networks, and data.
  • Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment between business goals and security initiatives.
  • Oversee incident response and vulnerability management, including risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Drive awareness and training programs to promote best practices in cybersecurity across the organisation.
  • Stay informed of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and innovations to maintain a proactive security posture.


Requirements


  • Proven experience in cybersecurity leadership, preferably in a director-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience managing security operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and risk assessment.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
