Electrical Subsea Support Engineer

Are you an Electrical Engineer, working within the Oil & Gas industry and keen on a role that provides real variety and the opportunity to provide practical solutions to real-world challenges?

Would you like to work for a company that truly values its employees & places an emphasis on training, development and employee wellbeing?

If so, this role could be the ideal next step for you…

Who will you be working for?

You’ll be part of an award-winning company specialising in cutting-edge engineering solutions within the Subsea Oil & Gas industry. They provide innovative technology and services aimed at enhancing the performance and reliability of electrical and control systems used in harsh underwater environments.

The company develops all of its technologies in-house, with an emphasis on innovation & providing state-of-the-art products & services that directly address the needs of its global customer base.

What will you be doing?

As a Electrical Subsea Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting the company’s award-winning electrical condition monitoring solutions; acting as a first-point of contact for their global customer base within the subsea oil & gas market.

You’ll be providing onshore and offshore diagnostics, fault finding, evaluation, installation & repair services for their cutting-edge electrical condition monitoring equipment.

The role will be a mixture of project engineering activity (creating work package documents and procedures), combined with remote customer technical support and the more “hands-on” electrical engineering activity during occasional visits offshore.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience of Oil & Gas working practices including electrical commissioning, test and fault-finding
  • Experience of working in a client-facing role within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical and electronic components.

It’d be nice if you had:

  • Offshore survival and medical certificates (must be attainable if not currently held).
  • Understanding of subsea production control systems and configurations
  • Exposure to networking and software system elements
  • Experience of working on fixed, offshore O&G platforms

What’s in it for you

  • Competitive base salary + additional offshore allowances with great earning potential
  • Profit-related bonus to celebrate the company’s successes
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell 5 additional days)
  • Comprehensive private medical healthcare scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Attractive contributory pension scheme
  • Hybrid working
